Description
This is a colored version of Brett Booth's "Another New Project Sketch" (which is conveniently located at [link] ).[s]I believe it may have been part of one of his cowboy series that didn't get used.. I reinterpreted it as a vampire biker chick, probably because I have been following the Anita Blake comics and I have all the ones he drew.[/s]Scratch that, it was supposed to be a vampire. I kept it that way. lol.
I Prefer Booth's work in Anita Blake to the new guy's, though the new guy is still pretty good, and he did a good job making the style stay similar.
No real reason I did it, I just love his work, and I've been playing with a new piece of graphics software I downloaded. It's fantastic, so I think I'm going to pay the 50$ and go get it.
This was done primarily in Paint Tool Sai, with a color adjust layer added in photoshop after. I was going to make the colors less vibrant, but after seeing both I liked the less muted reds and oranges in this one better.
This is my first attempt at shiny polished leather. It's not quite perfect but I'm not sure how to make that part better. If anyone has suggestions they are very welcome.

You did nice job of coloring her. I've been admiring Booth's art style for some time after reading the Teen Titans New 52 comic.

Looks pretty good, but the pants are sort of all over the place. Remember to do the form first, and then the details.
Her name is Tara and she is a vampire for the new Vampire Huntress graphic novel I'll be doing from L.A. Banks

Very Nice. Yeah, the shading on the pants is a bit off, I just wasn't sure what was making it that way. I think I may redo the black section of the pants, and touch up the red. You make a good point though. any thoughts/suggestions on the rest of it?
Who's releasing the Vampire Huntress graphic novel? And around when will it be coming out. I'm going to be sure to get it just because I like the art I've seen so far.

Color the pants as a solid piece first, color through, then do the details.

I redid the legs. I followed your advice, and it's a definite improvement, as it no longer has a flat look or unmatching curve feel anymore.
But I still can't figure out how to get the glossy leather effect I was going for on the pant legs or jacket the way I wanted them. Think Really polished leather. on the pants, either really polished leather or vinyl on the dark part. hmm.
Suggestions?

Done! I think I'm gonna redo the jacket. on her left hand side. and maybe smooth out the highlights on the pants a bit more. But your suggestion worked wonders.
