Description
Befort (or Beaufort) Castle, one of the most picturesque in Luxembourg, and unlike most castles in the Grand-Duchy, it is a moated castle rather than a hill castle. It was built and expanded from the 12th to the 15th century, and abandonned after the Thirty Years War. A Renaissance manor (off-picture) was added next to it later. Should you visit, be aware that they make excellent cassero (black-current licor).
