Series: Avatar: the Last Airbender (c) Michael Dante diMartino & Brian KonietzkoI've had several requests posted on my "Avatar: the Halloween Ship-tacular" ([link] ) for ships I didn't include, and by far, the most popular was "Harula" - the ship for Haru and Azula. (o-0) Yes, I know, that was my reaction. and argued well, however, and kirschreich (on LJ) gave me the final incentive: my own special JetMai fic.
So, yes - my fandom is entirely open to bribery, provided it's shiny and/or citrus.
And I didn't come up with the costume idea: that was all kirschreich's fault.

heh, they are a really cute couple (truth be told though Im more a zukla or mazu fan) and this is a fantastic question.
I have one question for the originators of this pairing...
What in the name of Agni sparked the idea of this couple? OR was it just 'oh, theyd randomly be cute together'?

Ah, speaking as one of the obsessive fangirls who wheedled into drawing this...
I got onto the ship in the course of beta-ing a WIP for . She was working on a challenge to write a drabble about Azula falling in love (with anyone BUT Zuko). When the challenge came through she'd just watched a rerun of "Imprisoned", and thought that Haru was pretty much Azula's polar opposite so that might make for some amusing plotbunnies...
By the time she was done, that "drabble" clocked in at nearly 18,000 words, and I'd spouted off with so many new plotbunnies that we were actively collaborating on sequels. (I'm polishing my half of a new chapter RIGHT NOW, in fact!)
So, yeah, it's definitely crack, but crack with a bit more thought behind it than just "they'd look cute together". And given the number of folks who've said "I really hate $CHARACTER normally but I really liked this fic", it's at least mildly contagious crack.
