yeah. this would SOOOOOOO not happen in the manga, mainly because it's targeted toward a male demographic and thus we CANNOT have the (female) sidekick saving the hero from the final boss.
All the same, the idea of HAL-Yako calling out Sai to save Neuro (after what he did to her) appealed to me.
(fugly sicks is fugly, and I can't draw doors being kicked open, YES I KNOW.

it's too bad that yako couldn't really do this, though i suppose i she did then neuro would take it as a sign that she could endure more abuse than he's been giving her
managed to get to the bit with them going to the gym, neuro looks hot in his different outfit, but haven't gotten further than that i'm afraid and thanks so much for getting me interested in this fantastic manga!

I was referring to Neuro being tortured by Sicks not just being bloody XD .. That would be sad. Nothing against Yako being badass although is impossible and not because this is "guy's manga" but because she isn't like that at all D:

Yeah, I have to sort of agree about this not being very likely. It would be fun, admittedly, to see Yako kicking ass and all. But until this point, she has not demonstrated any particular talent at physical combat, so it would sort of feel like an asspull if she just suddenly developed ~*mad skillz*~ out of nowhere and then defeated Sicks and Sai all by herself.
Also, it would totally be ripping off Kouta Hirano to have that much bullshit in the finale.

unlikely yes, but not how i imagine it - yako was able to do some pretty cool shit when infected with sai's version of the denshi drug. if she could get ahold of it again, she could technically use it in the same way, to block pain and conscious limitations on what her body can do (neuro's special training, anyone?). Also, I'm having her calling out Sai ONLY for a special reason. The final boss is neuro's, yako's just there to help him out, one last time.
