Step 1. I make a grayscale shaded ball with a dark outline.(with no face) Step 2. I make a solid colour layer (I started with yellow), make a clipping mask and set the blending mode to "colour". Step 3. Highlight both colour and ball layers and duplicate them, move down and change the solid colour layer's colour to a WEE BIT GREENER colour. Step 4. I repeat Steps 2-3 'til I make a number of emotes, each has a different colour. Step 5. I merge all layers into one and duplicate the brand-new layer, move it right and up. Step 6. I repeat Step 5 'til the full image is filled.
