Very interesting materials and textures on characters.
To you, really it was necessary to use procedural "Bump" (from DTE) for a floor.

Awesome work. Are the figures imported using the DAZ bridge or are they imported as .obj? Great use of your own photographs too. A little displacement would have done nicely on the ground plane, but otherwise this is 100% awesome.

thanks for the honest feed back, the models are exported vis the Daz bridge. The primitives and other obj's I created in Bryce Bryce, I had a lot of trouble with the ground plan I could not make my mind about what mat to use, it actually the background photograph.......when you say displacement what do you mean..... my thought is move the plane around a bit yer ?

Displacement maps are a way of altering geometry by using texture maps. For instance you could use an image editor like PS or Gimp to create a displacement/bump map out of your photograph. In a nut shell this involves turning the image into a grey scale (lighter colours are higher and darker colours are lower). Such a simple tweak can be very handy in a pinch, but likely won't produce the best results. If you like you could send me the image and I could attempt to create something usable as an example. That said I'm not sure how Bryce incorporates displacement, but I assume it does as it uses the same method to create terrain from procedural images.

It actually seems that displacement in Bryce is a bit hit and miss [link] . So, could work. Or it might not... A bump map might provide some level of depth illusion to the floor plane, but bump maps don't actually alter the mesh - all smoke and mirrors there. Anyway I'll shut up now in case I'm pulling up too much info. I don't want to make a big fuss about it as the image is beautiful the way it is.
