The black hydra from Dragon’s Dogma.
I really love snakes, so when I saw gameplay footage of this guy for the first time I fell in love real fast. It’s not as intricately detailed as some of Capcom’s other beasts, but it was lovingly detailed all the same, and still had nice and fluid animations. It’s hard to go wrong with highly detailed snakes too!
IMO I think this guy might be interesting as a crossover monster in the MH games - would be great challenge for co-op battles, might use its tail as a weapon (Which your AI claim it can do in the game, but I’ve never seen it do so honestly), but most of all it’d need its Swallow attack adjusted. Possibly convert it to a ‘pinning attack’ of sorts instead of a Delayed Instant-Kill attack.
Alas, I think this giant snake will always remain in its game of origin, but a hydra-like monster really would be interesting!
