This piece really captures the emotion in the situation. Details such as the eye and tear reflection really help this. The shading (as always) is done quite well, especially in the hair. Hair strands and feathers really bring the piece into a more realistic state of vision. The lighting in my opinion may be just a tad too much, again especially in the hair area. Also I think the coloring sort of conflicts with the lighting and makes the piece look off, like its a bit too dark. As I said before, the hair looks good but it makes the coat look too smooth. Either the hair should be tapped-down on detail or the coat's detain should be tapped-up. I think if this were done, the piece would look more appealing. Over-all however, the painting looks great and really professional. Keep up the work and keep getting better, Symbian.

Hopefully in season 5 we get to see Starlight Glimmer's backstory, why she has such an issue with differences in others. Twilight was just trying to help, though obviously Starlight misunderstands. If Twilight Sparkle would have started crying she may have gotten Starlight to change her mind.
