Description
Intent: September 19th. I stared at the page with the beginnings of a mandala I'd yet to finish. I'd had a bizarre and troubling dream about work. It was persecutory in nature and quite unsettling even though it was bound to happen after 3 years of employment at such a high risk environment. I'm actually surprised I haven't had nightmares sooner. In this mandala I set-out to still my thoughts by putting them down on paper.

I wrote the 'dream' in a spiral. I then applied dark paint, muddying the constricted writing which on its own did not do the dream justice. At this point the dream content was out and about but it'd exploded outwards from the mandala boundaries. The gold/bronze composite of symbols served as a grounding. A reminder to 'walk the labyrinth' for clarity of mind.
