Bio: Nearly a year later, following Gojira's rampage across Tokyo, a second member emerged, awakened by the dying calls of Gojira in Tokyo Bay.
This second individual, designated as Gigantis by pilots believing it was an entirely new Kaiju, was first sighted on Iwato Island battling another colossus. Both plunged into the Pacific and weren't spotted for all of March until Gigantis made landfall in Osaka Bay on April 24, 1955. He had been attracted to the city thanks to the flames caused by a police chase with a couple of robbers that ended with their escape car crashing in a refinery. The second unknown S-Class Gigafauna specimen, dubbed as Angira from Russian folklore, soon arrives and the two clash across the city. Gigantis proved victorious after splitting Angira's jugular open and then sitting him ablaze with his Atomic Ray.
For the next four decades, Gigantis would reign supreme as the strongest known Kaiju on the planet, a destroyer and savior against all the threatened his kingdom. By the late 1960s, Gigantis visited Solgell Island and discovered a juvenile Odosaurus that, based on his reaction, must've been his own offspring prior to falling into hibernation. The creature was later dubbed as Minilla by Azusa Gojo, who personally studied the infant. Though she and the rest of Monarch kept their distance at Gigantis' warnings.
Eventually, Gigantis perished in 1995 after killing Destoroyah alongside humanity and avenging all the Kaiju slain, including Minilla. However, unbeknownst to those in Monarch, Gigantis had transferred the last of his life-force to the corpse of his son that lied within Tokyo Bay, reviving him.
This selfless act made one thing clear: no matter what, the King of the Monsters will always lives.
