A little mysterious sci-fi scene I had been trying to finish for ever.

I really have never seen anything quite like your work. I gasp everytime I see another piece. Your use of color and strong lighting is so effective and gorgeous!
The only thing I can think to critique on this one would be composition...the light in the top and the planet both have such strong brights that my eye is drawn to them and I tend to miss the rest of the incredible talent in this (such as Fred the spaceman 
Really though, even if you leave this just the way it is, it will still be a masterpiece.

Oh yeah, I once did a quick test-planet once using fractals, and I ended up with a cool Venus-like planet...something we hardly see in space-art

Not bad but some of the nebula on the upper right looks a bit oversharpened. Also, try using a brightness/contrast map to see if you could bring out some of the nebula's colors out a little more. Otherwise, I like what you've made so far.
