Have not had any crazy ideas lately, and its been a while since I've done a plane old space piece...Seeya

Once in a while you just need to do a generic looking space scene. My problem is opposite, I have too many othe rideas and kinda neglect space art because of it

I've been trying to improve myself for years and it has gotten me nowhere as far as job and commission offers go 
I was even talking to another artist who is quite proffessional herself too and even she says she avoids buying magazines like IFX and the rest because it's always the same types of things that get featured, the things I mentioned above. It's like "unless you can draw these, we don't care about you"

All the components are fantastic, I love the details, it's an amazing bit of artwork. But something about the composition seems to bother me, and I can't quite pinpoint what. I think it's to do with the planet in respect to the landscape at the bottom of the image - I think it's because I'm looking at it from a human observers point of view from the planet. Humans don't have such a wide field of vision, so being able to see the planet that size at that height in the sky, and also see the ground at the same time seems slightly uncomfortable. But I'm being pedantic - Fantastic work.

but why not put some fog over the mountains from lower plan to give a more realistic? Maybe even some ice that reflected the colors of the background nebula thus making the composition components more connected.
Planet of the above plan is too heavy and too in the center of composition. I would move a little further down and more to the right, perhaps even smaller. The atmosphere could be more higher in altitude and blurry.
