I actually like the marvel movies, and I have read/owned just about ever marvel comic pertaining to Iron man, Thor, the avengers, Antman, spiderman, ... the list goes on.
And while... it breaks the whole story a bit, it's not without warrant.
biggest is legal issues, the second is basic regurgitation of information.

Well historically Asia(Known as the orient) and Middle eastern cultures shared many beliefs and life styles over the course of a few hundred years.
At one point, China was ruled by a middle eastern dynasty(And was even succeeded by a japanese one afterwards)
