Description
UPDATE 06/08/13: after six years, we finally have a decent photo and a print!Rainbow-coloured stellated truncated icosahedron. So many sheets of paper...
I worked out exactly how many squares of each colour I needed, and how it'd tone down in rainbow pattern...etc.
Took ages putting it together as I had a specific order in mind- worth it, though!

lol it's ok! I really don't have much time now...but if I want to relax, I usually go to my piano, or the organ or I'll fold something. It's my way of letting the stress go.

Quite a very intricate and well constructed piece of origami sculpting. Each of the various shades of color generate a unique transitional color spectrum on each and every single fragment of the ball. The various folds within the pieces of the isosahedron shape give it a good looking sense of texture and even some more depth to an already intricate piece. The color pattern used on the piece give it a nice feeling of the colors flowing through the craft like its the lifeblood of the origami sculpture itself. All in all, the piece is yet another exceptional display of synconi's exceptional crafting skill and general creativity. Beautiful work as always Gabriel.

This one is hard... How do you manage to put it together without having it fall apart...?

synconi In reply to Frubban [2010-07-12 13:01:54 +0000 UTC]
Hmm, the pieces just slot together and stay! When you put three together, they form a point which should stay together.
