After a hectic week I decided I was entitled to a relaxing weekend and after finishing a few jobs considered what to do with my time. I looked up at my shelf and saw 2 blank Rubik's cubes and decided it was about time I decorated them.The quality of this cube's turning so miles better than my previous 2. This is all down to the fact I found a shop selling £6 cubes for only £2 meaning I got good quality at an epic price. I'm very tempted to go back and get some more .... just in case.
For those that don't get the reference, this is the companion cube from portal. Ironically I've only ever played a few levels of portal while stay with blunaowl but I got a number of suggestions for this and I liked the idea.
It took me a while to draw out the design. It wasn't easy getting good reference pictures for all the elements I needed but I finally got there. I ended up having to make about 6 versions as my first set of colours were far too light and i then had issues aligning the blocks with the splits in the Rubik's cube

I made them myself to fit the size of Rubiks cube i used, so its not that simple to just upload an image

Nah. All of the sides are the same so turning it in any dirrection makes no difference

I need to work out some proper prices for cubes and bead cubes. Too high and people wont pay, too low and i'm out of pocket for time and materials

I should post on youtube sometime a recording of my voice in comparison with the actual GLaDOS's on some quotes. Everybody says I sound exactly like GLaDOS and that I capture the personality well when interacting as her.
