Description
A sketch of my boyfriend and me
Charcoal pencil, kneaded eraser, 6 hours, A4 paper.
And just a bit of background info:
He's 24, I'm 17, we've known each other for over a year now, we talk practically every day.
He lives in Christchurch (about 800km away from me) so I only get to see him in my school holidays, I've flown down to visit 3 times now. I'll be moving to Christchurch to go to university in 2 months (it's also the only uni that lets me do philosophy as part of my BSc, so it's not exactly like I'm sacrificing my education lol), and living with him for 2 months before semester starts.
He's studying Film at the moment, and getting A's, yay! He hopes to possibly be a director.
*edit* been together for 2 years, Christchurch is awesome, we're finding a flat for next year.

The first thing I thought was "Glasses! Such a pain to draw, but she did such a wonderful job!" Which you really did, you know...
Now, these look like they are actually sitting on the faces, instead of hovering. Great work on the deep blacks. Very rich. Very effective in framing the subjects. Not much to add that hasn't been said below, but great work on the eyes! And, of course, those glasses!
