ownage, seems to be too many stars towards the top, not nescesarily a bad thing though ;D

Only thing i can find that is wrong is the rings on the right planet, in the distance, they seem to go infront of the atmosphere rather than behind. :/
I'm sure you know what i mean

Yer I kinda know what you mean but you need to remember that an atmosphere isn't opaque. That is probably a mistake on my behalf as I don't think I was going into extreme detail on the physics of it all

Thanks for the fav

The asteroids around the top right corner planet look a little out of place in my opinion. Everything else looks great, even if part of the landscape is a tiny bit choppy.

Thanks - hopefully this won't be the best I can do and I will continue improving - already got new ideas in my head, just need to find the time to put them on paper (so to speak)

People should definitely check this one out.

Just on a side note, care to share some technical details?

Well, to start with, what software did you use, and what lighting?

Software used was in the initial comment - I used photoshop 7 for all of the spacescape and used terragen for the land which I then editted in photoshop. As for what lighting I used I am unsure as how to answer - most of the lighting comes from len flares which have been desaturated and resized to fit their requirements. Planet lighting was all decided within the planet creation process so is determined by where I placed the shadow - then the planets were orientated within the picture so the lighting was in the correct place. I think I rendered a bit of spot lighting over a duplicate of the planets which was then placed on an overlay just to enhanced the direction of light. As for lighting on the terrain - well that was all done by terragen - although I overlayed it a lot to darken it and create a better night atmosphere.
