This is a painting I did for my moms birthday.
........it's 3 weeks late.
Took me longer than what I thought it was going to...it also didn't help that I got sick the week before my moms birthday. She hasn't seen it yet but I know she'll like it. I was going to do a dolphin for her, but the whole picture would have been too blue so I went with a jellyfish instead. I used some reference photo's but I really just made this up. This was also an experimental piece. If anyone knows how yupo paper works you don't have any control what so ever, but with this I tried to make control and it worked fantastically. I think Im going to have some more fun with this new technique Ive found.

OMG it is! Oh, and I miss swimming with the fishies! That is an amazing experience! And to trace your fingers in the river bottom and try to grab sea shells....

Hell yea!! I used to find all sorts of things. I remember when I actually catch a jellyfish. It was really neat to watch cause no matter which direction you turned the container it always knew where it was going. It was awesome!! I also really enjoyed putting on goggles and searching for shells and fish. I remember when I found a sand-dollar.....it was like christmas.
