Nope. The term is fine. It may by traditional usage refer to someone who lives alone for religious purposes, but it's not required. I can't call her a recluse because she still does visit people sometimes.

You're free to use whatever wording you like, I was just taking note.  
By definition, a hermit lives in solitude - for whatever personal reasons - and is synonymous with a recluse, so the whole "visiting people" thing stands out to me.
