Description
Just a nice picture. |p I inked and pre-coloured this about a year ago...finally finished.IceDriver has slightly changed from his first picture ([link] ) but the story is more different now...
He's one of the spirits (those few epic creatures who describe some powers of nature). Genderless but commonly knowns as a "he". IceDriver's dazzling tailtip absorbs heat* from air around and can make it very cold during longer while.
Among other spirits he's a quite small, cheery natured and fairly on nobody's and everybody's side. He has his cunning part too if needed, though.
Ink, liner, coloured pencils.
*If you didn't know: Nothing radiates coldness. Cold object always absorbs the heat so heat streams from hot to cold and it causes fake feeling the cold thing radiates coldness eventhough that's not possible. .... Hello world, it's sometimes hard to be a material science student and do fantasy art too.

I could HUG you for that note in the picture description! Yes, ppl, cold is not a f*cking element, it's just the ABSENCE of HEAT!!! Sorry, science rave!
PS: very nice coloring.

Same problem. |> If I could find good explanation to all floating things inside the laws of physics I could die happily. *too much floating things around cough*
...I've seen also things like "a black hole as a tail, it absorbs all the light" (not a mention that if it absorbs goddamn LIGHT then it surely absorbs everything else too)...and "it's fire which is so hot that it's solid again"...
Conclusion? Everyday's fantasy artists don't know the heck about science and make science students cry. <_>'

and science is the greatest fantasy of all! And they don't even know! I have the same dilemma, and I even try to write a weird love-child of fantasy and science. I could tear my hair out trying to match up facts! And my greatest source of inspiration is ... science! Argh! Ahem... Floating things? Have you ever been to Nagrand... Or Pandora -_-

...and (electro)magnetism can't be used everywhere to get objects float.
Nagrand doesn't say anything and I doubt Pandora is that world in Avatar -movie (not seen it, though)...

Wow, I very much like the look of this creature The ice wings on it's back as well as the shape of the ears seem to be the most eye catching to me. Lovely work MoA!
