Description
RhodoKnightmon from Digimon and Reshiram from Pokémon. You may ask why I drew them together. One reason is that I -once again- got bored of people who deeply hate either one of the monster franchises. Another reason is that I've wanted to draw them together because of their similarities. And now don't look at their outer appearance only.- At first, both are technically genderless monsters...
- ...but their appearance is very feminine. Reshiram was even designed purposefully to look feminine, and just look at Rhodo, pink slim thing.
- But. In anime (Digimon Frontier especially) Rhodo was a he. Masculine pronoun was used, and of course, he had low male voice. His name also can be transliterated as LordKnightmon. Reshiram is based on masculine yang (remember that his original species is White Yang Pokémon). And now, in very new Pokémon 14th movie trailer, Reshiram spoke - short sentence but that was enough, he has a clear male voice. Besides both monsters' voices sound awfully same......
- Regardless of masculine features, many people call them "she". (Rhodo was even dubbed as female in US version of Digimon Frontier.) And in both case, I look with mean eye at people who call them females. I don't care what people think about any other official characters' genders, but these two are not to call a she. He or good old it but not friggin' she. (Sorta personal bugbear...)
- Not to forget that outer appearance. At least both have high heels (yet some other kinky design details). And shiny Reshiram has golden collars and pink flames. Both are seen with somebody clearly masculine looking one (Dynasmon, Zekrom)....and both have kickass power.
- And of course, I like both critters a lot. |3
So yes. Why to fight if you can actually have some tea with sophisticated talk.

Feminine males also exists. (Fur in awkward place is perhaps becuase character designers had too much freetime.)

Both have a more manly looking badass counterpart. Though Zekrom and Dynasmon doesn't have this sort of nice similarities. x>

What a lovely tea party. I like how you shaded them both, and they seem like they're engaged in a serious conversation. XD
And I very much agree with you here. I don't see why that just because a character looks feminine means that it must be a female character. It's just so stereotypical. I also never understood why pink or any light colors are considered girly...they're just colors.... Really hope that when the English dub of the 14th movies come out, Reshiram won't be given a female voice. 'Cause if that happens, I think I'm going to tear my hair out.

English version games didn't censor Reshiram's awkward fur (I was sorta afraid of that, dubs have done pretty radical censorship sometimes). Hopefully they allow him keep his voice in anime as well...

The only time I'm accepting of the idea female Reshiram are if they're OCs or gijinka. While a male Reshiram gijinka is always highly plausible, its design turned into a costume would suit a woman more, IMO.
I honestly want to scream every time someone adamantly defends the idea of THE Reshiram being female. They need to learn to suck it up and stop bawwing, because their constant whining won't change anything.
(also in the Reshiram/Zekrom mythology, the people who controlled them were brothers, so why can't they be brothers too? It only makes sense.)
Just thought I'd point out, though, that shiny Reshiram's flames are purple while the rest of its body has a pink tinge. Found that out via TSR.

I love pictures with Pokemon and Digimon that aren't some sort of stupid battle. I love both of the series.
You know it never occurred to me that Reshiram might be a female. I always assumed he is male... I know he looks feminine but I still never thought he was female. xDDD So no problem here at all. :> I always thought it was a little weird when people called him a girl.

I'll say that there is some social commentary in this picture,although slightly controversial. It seems that we have been "brainwashed" to think that pink=female,high-heels=female and effeminate seems to equal female.

sorry, but i see Reshiram as more male and female, sure, it does have some feminine features, but it's more like a wolfish dragon to me, and looks more male. plus, it has a fuzzy tuff sticking out below and in between its hind legs. i think that proves that it's a male more than anything

Show itself used pronoun 'he'. That's sure for RhodoKnightmon, Reshiram is not yet 100% sure yet I have a feeling that he is he. It's because people (or other monsters) in show (anime, movies, series) don't usually use 'it' so everybody get either 'he' or 'she', yet 'he' is used usually from genderless things too.
