Familiar? Should be for everybody who create characters when they just appear from nowhere, not because you create because you have to do so.I made this stamp because I couldn't find any like this. At least my characters tell me what they are. Someones are more talkative than the others, though... But at least it's sure I can't force them to talk.
Idea became from the fact my dear Lusse has finally revealed even something about his personality...after over four years. He's not the most talkative one...and that IS one of the things he told. B<
Sometimes characters tell really random things. For example Reverse likes dried rye bread. Merkabah has an armor he uses in duty. And Fayza 's purple eye surroundings are not natural, they're tattooed.

So true...I gave up planning stories through, it usually comes to a block anyway at some point because the plot collides with their characters traits they didn't bother to tell me about

ItΒ΄s almost weird how your characters form to be what they are and during the years they start to live life of their own. After that you canΒ΄t tell them what to do, though you would like them to do something particular.

You are not alone! Sometimes my characters just develop odd quirks, preferences, and even personalities and so on, that I didn't plan. They just happened! Glad to know I am not the only one!

This happened with one of my tabletop characters (dwarf) xP She seemed pretty stable until she came across two giant trolls all alone and nearly got herself killed ._. and I couldn'tΒ do anything because this was apparently her personality... reckless according to the GM.

Yeah, I'm always trying to come up with ideas and character designs and the like but my brain won't always cooperate, they just seem to come when they come.

This happens quite alot...actually something almost like that just now happened with both of my characters(my fursona and another one)
Me:*reading this*

Me: *looks at her* ''Jesus! You scared the crap out of me!''

Me: okay,okay jeeze,gets all quiet and you guys come along to scare the crap out of me...''

i no how u feel.one of my characters went for about a month with out saying any thing about himself, then he said his color and name and that was it

My freinds always ask me 'Well, why don't you just make your character do this or that?'
And I'm like 'Because, she'll do it if she WANTS to!'
They think I'm schitzaphrenic...

Your friends seem not to have this understanding that characters simply DON'T do everything, especially anything that is against their nature. You should ask your friends if they wanted to jump down from high cliff when somebody says so. Probably not - same thing with characters, they refuse doing some things.

Oh yeah I know this o_o actually it's when one of my Ocs stepped up and spoke out:
Servil: "Hey... I really don't like how you have me..."
Me: *Jumps, surprised that he was talking to me* "Oh?"
Servil: "Yeah... I'm actually gay... sooo..."
Me: o_o "... really? you are? ... that... that actually makes sense..."
and from there the others started stepping forward and **BOOM** all of their personalities came to life and I figured out what my plot was [for the longest time I was forcing it with out realizing it] and it wasn't until I looked back and realized that before that change they were majorly sueish... that still happens except not it's a bit of a pain in the ass because then sometimes they decide "You know what... I don't feel like doing anything today... have someone else do something"

They don't really talk to me directly, but pieces of there lives do unravel before me suddenly.

My characters all manifest from nowhere, and they all have voices. I learn more about my OCs when they talk to me. It's like interacting with a person in your mind. When they feel like it, they just show up, and tell me more.

I don't really understand too much. I have made my own characters but I wouldn't feel like I'm talking to them. Is it like making a profile about them or something completely different?

It more kind of means that sometimes an writer/drawer is really focussed on one character because it's easier to come up with things for them than for an other character at that moment. I have that as well, I explain it as my characters pushing and shoving eachother out of the way just to get my attention.
