Description
I had whole hour and a half free time between tensile strength tests and lectures so I went to school library to spend time, read science magazine and drew this. Includes some perspective caused flaws.I'm a such pleased, I didn't have any skeleton refs, though, so maybe should re-draw this someday... Anyway, creating skeletons is fun, I've seen some good (and bad) pokΓ©mon skeleton attempts around.
...
I think its tail (and mane) is mainly some etheric fur, so not much tail itself. Accessories, collars and tail torch (which actually seems to be some kind of oven, with heating elements and heat conductive cone shell*) are another story.
Wannabe-professional looking pencil thingy.
* I repeat, I study ENGINEERING SCIENCE so, yes, I've created a valid explanation how the tail of this monster works....and should explain it someday. Besides ether is very easily flammable, thus etheric fur was necessary. ... Regardless of this don't ask how fire doesn't cause any visible damages to Reshiram self. There is some dim PokΓ©mon logic where real life science can curl up and die.

and as soon as you started explaining that tail. my brain gave up even when i reread it...
somehow i think thats one of those things where i -need- a visual explanation

Welcome to the science. (Try google "blast furnace", maybe it gives a slight idea.)

Nice study, I like this because it gives you an idea of how the character should be able to move around.

Oh wow I love this. This is extremely close to how I imagined its skeleton to look like (you even got the bird traits in it <3) Brilliant and well done.

Maybe the crotchtuft is like an oxygen intake system to fuel it's flames.
That was a joke, but now that I think about it, if it did work like a jet, it could probably use it's wings to glide instead of needing to flap.

...Inner container for liquid oxygen. As ridiculous as it sounds, that would explain its relatively heavy weight and why it can burn so high on atmosphere there's very little oxygen. ... Hmmmm...good point, good point...

Even thought IΒ΄m not even sure if PokΓ©mon are based on logical skeletons after all Γ³_o
*Looks to Pickachu - itΒ΄s tiny feet but ultimasuperspeed run and jump*
BUT more logic is always nice x3 Skeletons can be helpful to understand something - AND they are every time quiet interesting x)
To be Reshi looks just right BUT my skeleton experience is like 1% I think O: So~ No idea - if it would work or not can be said by you much more xP
Sketchy sketch art is nice and that texture/color in background makes it look like a page of any old book x3 I never managed to get that effect β it is too nice :3

At least they give a challenge to design logical looking skeleton if monster itself is NOT too logical...Reshiram is those ones who are somewhat logical.
Guess what the texture IS actual paper, I just scanned it like that paper texture can be seen. |D So no extra texture added.

Pikachu skeleton would lookd kinda strange I think xP
... What does a Koffing looks like? /D"
What the hell? You seem to live in a place that is full of art things <__<" Old texture paper. Other people have to do these textures digital and you have paper of it. Naargh. Lucky you xP

Here in dA is some Pikachu skeleton ideas but luckily not a single Koffing.
Every paper has a texture. All I had to do was to scan a normal paper (okay, not a copypaper but some wastepaper...) in dark lightness/hue/gamma, fix contrast, and ta-dah, epic texture.

Who knows? I am still highschool student.

Sysirauta In reply to Kagerow-Retales [2010-10-15 18:39:41 +0000 UTC]
I'd say the backbone would have been stronger, otherwise I'm pleased with it. Legs must have strong and stiff bones to bear its whole weight. It uses its fire powered tail to fly so wings must not be that powerful.

Wow, this looks pretty factible. You really put effor on this and IΒ΄m very admired. Though, maybe the bat-like fingerbone should be longer and thicker to hold the whole wing (IΒ΄m no expert either XD) Really amazing!

Bird wings contains mostly feathers, [link] long finger bones are suitable only for skin-winged creatures. Reshiram is partially mammal and very heavy, as an imaginary creature some things may be a bit odd. (Besides, as said, I had none refs.)
