I've been meaning to make some Doctor Who fan art for a while and this is the result.

I know some of you watchers only started watching me because of doing that kind of fan art and I've produced nothing on it for ages. The other day I let down a friend expecting a style shown in a piece of art I did quite some time ago. It showed a Doctor Who related piece but it also showed a style I haven't presented since. Now the style was meant to be reflective around the idea of the piece but part of the style could also be reproduced through how the image in digital was developed. Scanning in the art and then flattening and curing it through Paint Star. To my knowledge Corel Painter can't flatten an image. This bums me greatly but maybe it's possible and I just don't know the technique yet. This piece was not only created in Paint Star after being scanned but it was also worked on in Bryce 7.1 Pro, Corel Painter, and MS Paint.

This Dalek isn't exactly made up by me. It's based off the CGI effects tests of a Dalek rendered and not used in the '96 Doctor Who movie. The clips can be seen in the extras for the DVD. Due to how dark it comes across, I tried my best to fill in where I thought details would be. Curiously searching around DeviantART this morning I discovered no one has tried presenting this unused Dalek before.
