Kargan is a brash little Bagon out to prove himself. Running to accept any challenge that comes his way, he'll often get in over his head. But regardless the task, you can rely on this little bagon putting his best all into anything he does. He's eager to learn, but stubborn to a fault. He loves to meet new faces, but can come off as a bit strong and intimidating to more shy individuals. He head-butts things he likes.

It was a surprise to both when they found Kargan evolving! Now a Shelgon, Kargan is pretty much the same. He's learned a bit from meeting other trainers and their pokemon, and has a bit more restraint on his excited nature. He's become a bit more aware of his strength and practices being careful more cautiously. The bond between Kargan and Cory has grown, and they hold much more trust of each other.

Kargan finally evolved into a Salamence! Kargan has matured quite a bit since he was a Bagon, but really he hasn't changed much. Now much bigger and aware of his size, Kargan's "loving" headbutts are much more tame, and more like a light nudge. He's more protective of his trainer, and their trust in each other is vast. Although Kargan is still a bit excitable and energetic, he's learned what's appropriate when and where. Truly, this Dragon couldn't be a better Ranger's partner.

Kargan was a rescue from Boyleland's own Volcano Cave. Although it was Cory's mother who had rescued him from a very one-sided battle he had no business being in, she was quick to give him to Cory when she heard he was going to start anew in Ivywood. It would be a fresh start for the both of them, a chance for both to grow together.
