Description
My first attempt at a real photoshop piece in a long time. Its good to be back in the swing of things I'd say.I call this one 'Firefly' I don't really know why, but if you have a better idea for a name feel free to let me know
This is version one of the design. It has gone through a few previous versions, but... uhh those don't count. If anyone has any suggestions for tweaks, fixes, or additions let me know and i will try to include them in future versions of the design.

The planet (which looks earthy) seems too flat. Needs to be more rugged and textured. Other than that. I really like the stellar gas and the stars!

Actually, for the nebula I took various high resolution cloud photographs, and merged them together and cloned various parts until i got the look I wanted. Then I brought the cloud picture into photoshop and melded it into my image.
This was then followed by fractal overlays and various crystal brushings...
The clouds and dust around the nebula was all painted by me.
