Description
This is the inked version of my characters for the heresy tournament I found a pretty cool piece of coloring software so I thought I'd give that a go just before I reach for my pencils. Still let me know what you guys think. It took me freaking ages to get the damn thing loaded though don't know what's up with DA but it sucks.Related content

Sweet man. just remember that your gonna have to write up a bio for them all. So everyone can get some background on them.
Oh and it's nice to see a robot in there. Haven't seen anyone use a robot before. should be fun. XD

Thanks man yeah I know I'll need to do a bio I'll have it written for the coloured version of this pic. Yeah thought a robot would be a good little member to have.

Because this isn't colored yet, I'll hold off on critiquing too much, other then to say that "Ace's" hand that is holding his belt looks a little small, but other then that it's looking good!
Gahh, such detailed character designs! Seriously! How do you maintain the patience to do that? I start drawing stuff like armor and once I get past body shape I go "....screw this. He's wearing spandex."
Can't wait to see this once you get it colored! (By the way, what sort of paint program are you going to be trying out?)

I know about the hand so critique away all you want. I did try making it bigger but I'm not too well practiced doing it in different positions like that and bigger hands came out like chunks of wood. The bug thing in the back is a robot XD I can't wait to put these guys into action I already have their intro thought out.
As for the patience it's really simple for me actually once I get started and things are going the way I like I just sort of lose myself. It's pretty peaceful. Oh yeah the colouring program is just some free to use software I found on a website sumo paint or something like that. Haven't had a chance to try it out properly yet but I don't have much patience for that sort of thing because I'm clueless so it might not happen.

Critique all I want!? Oh boy, I hope you're ready!
...alright, so there isn't much for me to critique.
One thing however is that "Ace's" spear doesn't continue past the bottom of the page where the groups feet are. If it's a full sized weapon, it would be as tall or taller then him, the butt of the weapon would rest on the ground when not being actively carried. If it's a shorter weapon, holding it in the air like that would be an uncomfortable position. Having it lean on his shoulder or held horizontally would look more natural.
by the way, I know what you mean about digital painting. I had the hardest time getting used to it, and I'm still not very good at it. It's not nearly as intuitive as traditional media. (Though the "undo" option is one that is hard to pull off in real life!)

If I had the undo button before for inking and colouring in I would have less ruined pictures and more things to be proud of. Thanks for the critique I did want Ace's spear on the ground I don't know what I was thinking having it like that. Oh it's not just a spear though it can do stuff...
