Description
The girl and background were all painted from scratch in photoshop. I modeled the tubes coming out of her head with Cinema 4d and then I painted over those as well in photoshop.

There are a few small issues which I have yet to fix but I have already invested so much time into this that I'd like to start a new project. Hope you all enjoy.

Whilst creating this image, I came up with a back-story to it. I am no writer, so I apologize for the sloppy written story in advance.

A Glimpse of Human Emotion

The human species is quite close to extinction, due to their own actions. Resources have run
scarce and war has broke out between countries leaving only a few million survivors. In an attempt
to save the human race, scientists have attempted to recreate the human species via cyborgs (meshing
humans with technology).
However, many failed attempts created cyborgs which could not feel emotion. Instead, these failed
experiments turned on us. They relied on natural selection, survival of the fittest. Kill anything that is
inferior. As a result of this, the human race was very close to being killed off. Scientists continued to
work in hidden laboratories. Many people gave up their lives fighting off the rouge cyborgs in order to
protect the scientists.
Eventually there was only small handful of people left. Scientists were in the process of creating
their last batch of experimental cyborgs. At this point, scientists were recycling battle struck cyborgs
for parts (which is why the cyborg in my design has the back of its head blown off). During the
construction phase of this process, the rouge cyborgs break into the facility and began killing off what
was left of the human race.
Which leads us to my digital drawing. As you can see, the cyborg is shedding a tear, which means
it is feeling the emotion of sadness. The scientists finally accomplished the goal... but it was too late.
The facility is being destroyed along with the experimental cyborgs which have yet to be completed.
