(sorry i'm superstitious) WARNING! Carry on reading! Or you will die, even if you only looked at the word warning!
Once there was a little girl called Clarissa, she was ten-years-old and she lived in a mental hospital, because she killed her mom and her dad. She got so bad she went to kill all the staff in the hospital so the More-government decided that best idea was to get rid of her so they set up a special room to kill her, as humane as possible but it went wrong the machine they were using went wrong. And she sat there in agony for hours until she died.
Now every week on the day of her death she returns to the person that reads this letter, on a monday night at 12:00a.m. She creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by cutting you and watching you bleed to death.
Now send this to ten other pictures on this one site, and she will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. apparently, if u copy and paste this to ten comments in the next ten minutes u will have the best day of ur life tomorrow. u will either get kissed or asked out, if u break this chain u will see a little dead girl in your room tonight. in 53 mins someone will say i love you or im sorry

A pen is certainly lethal in your hand. lol This is marvelous! Your cross hatching is superb, and your talent shines here. I can see why you got a DD for this! The depth of her eyes, the soft shadows of her cheeks, her amazing lips, are all testament to your amazing ability. I am glad I found you among the myriad of artists here on DA

Thank you. I have to tell that your comment made me smile. This is probably the only artwork I've been working on that made my hands hurt. And probably one of not so many artworks I'm satisfied with. Thanks you very much.

Some people use pen for writing, I use it for drawing.

This looks as if time, care and devotion was spent. I have to say, this is the, by far, best piece you have in your collection posted. In fact, this is one if the best pieces I've seen roaming this site.
Her eyes have depth and emotion; the smile is infectious. The subtlety of her cheeks and the soft shading...
Now repeat it on each piece from now on. Take your time and show your love of art and beauty.
Bravo. This is simply a wonderful piece of work.

Oh, I do not know what to say anymore...
I wish I could draw like this every time, but when I was drawing A.F. I was in some kind of trance. I do not even remember the drawing process...
Well, there is only one thing I can say now...
Thank you, thank you very much.

I hope you know I was not slamming you. This is truly a great piece.
It shows (me at least) there is so much more you can do.
Keep at it. Always strive for the unabtainable. Always.

Yeah, I know. My lack of knowledge could cause it look like it...
I am grateful for what you said.

There 2 aspects to art:
1) natural talent and inclination
2) technical ability
Just about anyone can be "taught" to draw technically correct. But to bring those scratches of ink, graphite, paint, etc to life; to make it breath and shine; that's where instead talent shines.
You can be a good artist with raw talent.
You can be a good artist with good technical ability.
But you need both to be a great artist.
The technical aspect happens through a good school and/or time. Lots of time, and lots of drawing.

I couldn't agree more.
Here, on DA you can find a lot of people with technical skills, but they are not artists.
Me, I have never been taught how to draw... But I could not call myself an artist. I just love to draw things... And drawing 'things' make me feel fulfilled.
There is also a funny story behind it. When I was 2 years old I did not enjoy it. I had a vision defect and was not aware of this. Fortunately, my parents noticed that something was wrong. It turned out that I needed glasses. After that I started to enjoy drawing and I draw a lot to this day...
