Description
And that's why Starswirl was trying to make the spellI do wonder though, what was Starswirl thinking when creating a spell that changes a pony's destiny? Why would anypony use it?
I dunno...
Edit: Fixed the hard to read text

I wouldn't take the Crystal Heart Spell's canon very seriously, it was very strong in the spin-off territory. Even then, Celestia did not cause the transformation. Reread the text.

Celestia didn't turn Twilight into an Alicorn. That's why they show the Little Mermaid effect coming from her own heart (rewatch the scene, you see the little blob of purple magic coming from her, when Celestia's horn is not glowing).

I'm sure it'd be very entertaining if I could read it.
How about black and white? A classic combination.

uh... I CAN'T READ IT! Stupid text colors. I am not saying it would be a bad comic, I 'm just saying, next time you make one, try to use better colors that aren't bright against white. I wish I could read it, maybe if I turned my brightness down.

Maybe instead of using their coat color (and for this case Celestia's hair color) I should try using their eye colors
I'll see how that works in my next comic

That was never the purpose of the spell, the spell only did that because it was incomplete.

Why would anyone want a spell that allows them to change there destiny?
Um, how about having free will? That seems like a pretty big deal.

LOL, I guess educating two little alicorns must not be easy. I don't know how Fausticorn handled it.

IMO, I pictured Fausticorn as either their Older Sister (who is just as fun/crazy as Celestia and Luna, doesn't actially take care of them) or a God (in a multi-god religion with the creators of the other mlp generations)
But that's just me

True, but seeing Faust as their mother can be both adorable and funny.

Yeah, that did cross my mine
In that situation I do have a comic already prepared:
*Starswirl is covered in ice-cream and whipped cream*
Luna: TEACHER SUNDAY
Celestia: TEACHER SUNDAY
Starswirl: Β That's it girls! Β I'm calling your mother!
Fausticorn: Β You girls should be ashamed!
(Starswirl has a smug look on his face)
Fausticorn: Β Teach sundays have SPRINKLES!!!
*poors sprinkles over Starswirl*

I do like the idea of Star Swirl being the Aristotle to Celestia's Alexander the Great.

"A mark of one's destiny !fulfilled!" not changed. The spell was an attempt to make "magic without end", to "make new magic", as in create energy. Starswirl didn't understand the Magic of Friendship, however, so even though he was talented enough he couldn't finish the spell.
Twilight fulfilled the destiny of her cutie mark, Magic, by casting this spell, creating Magic.

The "magic without end" part wasn't in the original spell, it was added thousands of years later by Twilight.

Gnorian In reply to timgil [2013-09-27 22:48:24 +0000 UTC]
That was the goal of the spell. Otherwise ,she wouldn't have finished it. She would have used what was there to make a new spell.

Aside from the fact that (imo imo imo!) Starswirl is YOUNGER than Celestia... This checks out

In Hearth's Warming Eve, Spike said it was before the rule of Celestia and Luna, and Clover the Clever's mentor was Starswirl the Bearded
So he would have to be older than Celestia and Luna
