If you know me, you know I've been working on this for months.I've been doing what I can to better the last one. I'm surprised every morning to see that people are still looking at that thing. But I've made a point to myself that I enjoy drawing these lil guys when I don't want to draw humans.
There is something about their timeless influence on my childhood that makes me adore them.

It looks almost like the family portrait. Very awesome. I don't think I even come close to the patience needed for something like this. I love the expression on Simon's face, Just happy. that's all. A very sweet picture.

I had a hard time making Simon's face happy, because in the 80's cartoon, which I grew up with, he was always sneering and raising a brow at things. But in the new movie, he smiled a heck of alot more.

The eyes are a huge part of it - you really capture their personalities in all your pictures. Believe it or not, over the years there have been so many stories written about these characters there's a lot more personality to them than a lot of people think. One of the things the movie did was get that exactly right, and so do your pictures.

Alvin has never looked cuter. I like how you drew him just as adorable as in the first picture, but in a totally different way - showing another side of him. The best artists in the world excel because they take things we understand and depict them in a multitude of ways. Great job.
