Description
A Sidescroller-Action-RPG Mockup which is part of a game concept I created for an application - the main character struggles through a factory full of infected machines aiming to take over the world. The map system is kinda like in Odin Sphere - a circle representing the floor with all the different stuff like doors, enemies, etc. which rotates if you move around.Related content

Sorry. I seem to have stumbled upon this piece of awesomeness twice in a row.
But to be fair. It's been a year and it is still awesome.

A very impressive mock-up! The stylization, concept, and description delivery are all superb! If you get some free-time, you really should turn this into a fully realized title if you haven't already!
Keep up the incredible work.

other than the RPG-type face on a platformer-type character I like the look of this a lot.

That's not to say he wasn't going for a crossover though. Maybe it was an RPG just in a platformer style.

That has nothing to do with anything. the traditional RPG 'gets away' with just the eyes due to the size of the sprites. It's something I very much dislike seeing on larger sprites that do have the extra space for a bit more face.

Ahh I see, and yeah that makes sense I suppose. I thought you meant why was it set up like an RPG but still a platformer. But yeah I do see your point now and it definitely makes sense.

Heh ok. Anyways it's up to them. I was stating it's just something that bugs me personally. Still very nice work all round though.

Astounding work and attention to detail. Altho, those two pillars in the background. Are they actual obstacles or are they for decoration, they protrude so far toward it's a bit hard to tell.
