Duke was never Robin but he was part of the "We are Robin" movent. "We are Robin" sounds a little like "we are legion" and what has legions? The ancient Roman army. So Signal's getting Roman armor.
It's a bit of a stretch but it works.
His name's based on a giant light so he gets moth wings and horns that almost make a halo.
I was running out of types of claws/talons to use so he get bear/cat claws.
