Saw the movie Rango last weekend and for some reason this tiny, insignificant scene really stuck with me. (not 100% accurate to what happened in the movie but close enough)im kinda proud of this... the scene apparently made such an impact that it burned into my brain and I was able to draw this without any refs (rarety) what so ever... I suck at hats.
and those tree things still creep me out *shudders*
The movie has such beautiful visuals >_< if you dont see it for the story, see it for the animation.
and did anyone else feel Timothy Olyphant was out of place Voice wise?

This is awesome. That scene was so moving. And actually, if you read the 'novel' form of Rango, there's some hint that he does, indeed, go back for his old friends, since it says something about Waffles dating the headless doll. So I think Mr. Timms is just fine and happy in Dirt.

Well it's just like, a page and a half afterthought from where the movie cuts out; but it does specifically mention Waffles dating the headless doll, so I figure if he went back to get her, he probably got Mr. Timms and Victor the plastic palm tree, too. Just makes sense.

not really... its kinda my take on a scene that was in the movie toward the end, it was barely 30 seconds worth of a scene so I expanded upon it

cool picture, I loved the movie, wounded Bird was my favorite, right next to Rattlesnake Jake, and Timothy Opylant was out of place voice wise, i didn't recognized him and i like Justified. and those tree , things are kinda creepy I actually drew wounded bird( pretty well) and im currently drawing Jake.

those two were close to my top fav list, they were very enjoyable, esp rattle snake jake who I thought wouldn't be as multi dimensional as he was (er.... not a flat personalityy kill kill kill kinda guy... uh snake... gunslinger) Ha, im glad im not the only one who thought Timothy Olyphant was out of place... if maybe his voice was just a little lower or gravely... I know, right?! He could have atleast dragged him a little ways when he first landed in the desert, but no, he just kinda... abandoned him ;_; poor mr. Timms, but I guess its the fact mr timms was still there that made the impact *shrugs* Thanks for the fav!

I think they just added that for the commercial value, cause you see alot of pics with rango and mr. timms in Dirt and he never brings the fish (like the video game cover) unless since it was a nickelodeon movie they're thinking of either making it a tv show or giving it a sequel

Thanks! ^_^ Definently see the movie in theaters, I think small screen might kill the value of the visuals, such nice scenery! >_< Alot of it looks so photorealistic! the story tends to be a little slow at times but its still enjoyable.
