Bonzo is not one to follow. He leads in every situation, and cannot stand being ordered around. In addition, he will not tolerate any deviation of his own orders. If he expects something done from someone, he expects it done right. If someone disobeys him, he won't hesitate to show them why they shouldn't. Bonzo's entire life centres around power through fear, a driven individual, he strives for ultimate leadership. He believes he was built to be in a position of power, for the good of others, but mostly for the good of himself. Bonzo's confidence derives from this, from his ability to be respected by others through fear. Moreover, everything in Bonzo's life is very precise. He needs to have order to be able to give orders, and a break in this only sends him into another one of his 'fits'. Through all this, his motives are very childish, accompanied by his young age. But, it all stems from a great fear of being alone. Bonzo feels a need to control others to have them close to him, so he has 'followers' to support him. Without his 'following' he is nothing.

Likes } Stability, cold weather, open spaces, the sound of rushing water, the colour green.

Dislikes } Opposition, warmer weather, confined spaces, strong smells.

"Why not?" asked Bonzo, and for the first time he smiled. Ah, thought Ender, he loves to have someone recognize that he is the one in control, that he has power.

0-6 moons }
• Bonzo is part of his mother's last litter, a cat in high demand to be bred. The birth was a disaster, and only he and his littermate, a she-kit named Petra, survived. His mother took both in easily, trying to make the most of her last litter.
• Bonzo and Petra are given away together to a two-leg who lives alone. Bonzo despises life without his mother, and grows bitter towards his sister. Petra stands up to Bonzo, but he still controls every aspect of her life. If she does something he doesn't approve of, the fights would be vicious. His two-leg tried to get them to coexist, but was continuously unsuccessful.

• Bonzo begins to meet other cats around the neighbourhood once he is finally let outside his home. Petra prefers to stay isolated, but soon Bonzo acquires a substantial group of friends- to him, they are only his pawns. His group consists of two toms named Bernard and Alai, and several others.

6-12 moons }

• Bonzo and Petra get into a vicious fight, and Petra is left terribly injured. Bonzo is to be sent to live with another two-leg family, and when he comes to know this, he escapes his home. He rallies up his group, one by one, those who don't comply are forced to. They all make a break for the woods, deciding to live together free from the restraints of there two-leg nests.
• Bonzo and his group struggle to live, and many back out and travel back to their two leg homes. Only five remain, including Bernard and Alai, those closest to him. Bonzo finds how much satisfaction he gains from his position of power, and soon grows hungry for the feeling. He bases his entire worth around how well he can control other individuals, and grows fearful of losing power.
• The group learn to hunt quickly, and they soon begin to move deeper, farther and farther from their old homes. Soon, they begin to hear whispers of clans of cats, that have settled into new lands. He and his group follow them, and he studies them carefully. He becomes deeply interested in their way of life, organised and productive. One day, he brings Alai with him to investigate. When he arrives at Brambleclan territory, he's greeted by a familiar sight; Petra, or now Willowsong. Willowsong tries to welcome her brother, but Bonzo had none of it. He was furious Willowsong did not come and join him and his gang, and instead opted to escape to clan life. He and Willowsong get into a vicious battle, and soon, Alai breaks it up. Alai sees Bonzo's true colours, and refuses to follow him any longer. Alai and Willowsong head back to Brambleclan.

12-24 moons }

• Bonzo's group soon decides to disperse, far and wide across the territories, but they meet often. Bernard is Bonzo's closest ally, and he gives Bernard the illusion of power in the group of 'friends'. Bonzo now resides near Lakeclan territory, enjoying the abundance of water sources and prey.

When Ender saw Bonzo's stance, his heart sank. Bonzo had also taken classes. And probably more recently than Ender. His reach was better, he was stronger, and he was full of hate. He would not be gentle.
