Now this is a cool Pokemon. I really like the concept, and the name is even kinda good. The random normal type added on is rather strange, but tolerable. I just wish the one I used in-game didn't die after every attack.Also, I noticed that it supposedly basks in the sun and its frill even looks like the sun. I find it rather stupid that its two abilities Sand Veil and Dry Skin revolve around other kinds of weather, especially when Dry Skin actually causes it to take damage every turn due to sunlight.Β Β

Definitely one of the more cooler new gen pokemon. And I do agree that the Normal typing is a bit weird, maybe if it was only Electric type would have been better. Or even Electric/Dragon, but then it wouldn't be weak to Fighting, but instead Fairy, Ice and Dragon. But I think it could still work.

It has the hidden ability of Solar Power, though that also makes it take damage in the sun. :-/

It actually does get Solar Power as its Hidden Ability, so that's a really big plus. It's really physically frail, as you've implied, with only 52 Defense (lower than Raichu's!).

I think Sand Veil is a good Ability for it, it makes it immune to Sandstorm. It makes sense in a way since some frilled-lizards do live in arid regions.Β

I use one in my game, I just wish his frill was seen as up more (I think he looks 10x cooler with it spiked out)Β
And I agree with the ability thing. It's hidden ability is Solar Power, which sounds like it makes more sense, but the pokemon's health is still lowered each turn at the cost of a Sp.Attk. boost in sunlight

Indeed. For some reason, it looked like a kids toy. But it's a decent design at least.
