Not sure if I prefer the design to the original or not, but I REALLY like Mega Gengar. Like a lot.Update 4/20- Really wasn't a fan of the original. I'm liking this one though.

The first thing I noticed right away upon seeing this on the front page wasa.deviantart.net/avatars/s/h/s⦠" alt=" " title="shakeespurrpls" /> D'ose COLORS.
The way you colored this is by far the best thing about it. The purple fades smoothly into red (not only on the body itself but on the outlines) And having the purple outlines be lighter than on the body and the red outlines be darker than on the body somehow makes Gengar glow, which is a desired affect for ghost types. The glowing eyes also help set the point as well.
Actually, the only thing better than the color are the textures. They look phenomenal. It's a very messy look but ends up working fine with Gengar's simple design. It looks like something I'd find spray painted on a cement wall (it also reminds me of the art style of one of my favorite artists).
And the background is simple. Having it have the same texture keeps the consistency.

....Damn is that intimidating! Like a Cheshire specter that haunts the night! I personally am not a fan of Gengar, but this is a VERY fitting design; with the purple-red coloration, soul-piercing third eye, and red eyes that glow in the dark. Getting to the drawing itself; it captures the concept of Mega-Gengar greatly; and the purple haze is a nice touch too. While not your best of the designs, this is a good design overall. By not your best I simply mean I've seen better; like Tyrantrum or Torterra. Nevertheless, I think this is more than deserving of a Favorite and the Dinoboygreen Seal of Approval!
