She intoxicated him, like a lethal and slow-acting poison. She took away his nights of sleep, messing up all his mental capacity; entering, violating his entire structure and turning it over, destroying him from the inside out... She was radiant in a way that shouldn't suit him or his motivations.

It all started like a speck of dust a few weeks ago, when he spent time with the trio at the Burrow for the Quidditch World Cup, and it grew with an overwhelming speed and intensity. Most of the time, from the beginning, he was with the girl effortlessly, with somewhat relaxed conversations and laughter in the kitchen while preparing food; on the long, sunny afternoons in the countryside at sunset, where, without thinking or realizing it, he told her about his experiences outside and in his most personal feelings about the task in the Muggle world that Dumbledore imposed on him - things he had not confided to nobody. Not even the trio -; or the way in which they remained silent for countless hours at night listening to the slow Muggle songs that Arthur Weasley put into the room... At all times, a disturbing comfort was present when Riddle was with Ginny. And it scared him. (...)"
