Description to  and any other relevant groups I was really working on how to introduce depth to an image, I had a bit of difficulty, i think i reduced the saturation and contrast a bit to quickly in the background.  I was also trying to get the rocks in the fore ground and background look rocky? whilst still reducing the detail and contrast. any tips on the tree i would like as well I had difficulty on the leaves.

Depth:
I agree that the reduction in saturation seems too fast. (Although, I'm not sure if it's saturation. Looks more like you lightened the colors with white...kind of like adjusting contrast/brightness with a filter.) I think it's not gradual enough...as if you decided the 3 levels of depth has to be clearly defined. The tree, for example, could be split up in different levels of depth too. Also, if the focus is the tree in the midground, I think making the foreground less sharp would help. Currently my attention keeps pulling back to the foreground.

Rocks:
I lack experience at rocks, but the first suggestion that popped to mind is to make them sharper (as in jagged). Right now, they look really smooth.

Leaves:
Looks fine to me. You got the right idea of using brighter/lighter greens int he front and darker in the back.

Thanks for the reply. I think your right I think I need to split things up into more layers. I didn't use a filter but if it looks like I did then obviously i need to work on that, I think I was going lighter when I should have been going greyer- or maybe more blue.
