very nice work indeed, however I am a little confused by the owl which seems to be there but not if you know what I mean? its just the little child has their companion/pet or whatever and the painting seems to suggest that this supernatural being has her pet/companion/spectre the owl I think? but it just looks like its sleeping? I would have painted the eyes open with brilliant white piercing light shining out of them just to bring the owl into the painting a little more or am I totally getting the wrong end of the stick here? please elaborate I am genuinely intrigued.
