I've never heard cases like this in Australia, but if anyone knows the 'abused puppy' theory, then I'll agree that it's the owners that are responsible for their dog's behaviour, not the dog's breed. Good point here.

It's so tragic to see people give up on specific breeds so easily, people say don't support pitbull, but I can personally tell you that some of the best dogs I've met were pits or pitbull (or other bully breed) mixes.

It's a shame that so many just don't take the time to understand a breed they get themselves into and throw them away right there.. makes me wonder how they even wanted to get the dog in the first place? As I say, All dogs with be dogs, but breeds come jam packed with different features/temperaments, none are the same. No sense in wasting your time if you are not prepared in committing to a dog and ready to take on the responsibilities it comes with.

Chihuahuas are dangerous because people don't treat them like dogs. When they get all angry and snarl, people think it's cute because, "Oh, look, she thinks she's tough." If she were a bulldog, she'd be put down. I wish my grandparents recognized this with their chihuahua; she's great with the family, but outsiders beware.
