That is a really lovely German Shepherd. You are so lucky to have one! Nice!
I like how he doesn't have one of those really sloping backs like those in the show-line.

Thank you, I didn't expect to even have one as nice as him nonetheless actually own a GSD. He has slight sloping but all dogs will have that to some degree.

I understand.
You're right about the sloping, I just don't like the extreme ones that German Shepherds tend to have so much that it makes them walk weirdly.
What are German Shepherds like as pets?

Well, I can only really speak for the working lines since I've never owned a show line. They aren't good dogs for first time dog owners as they require a firm confident(sometimes experienced) owner that is willing to commit to them as much as possible. They aren't lap dogs whatsoever. Very energetic. Working lines have high prey drive as does mine and the show lines have a lack of it supposedly. Mouthy breed- both vocally and physically meaning they will feel very obligated to use their bark whenever possible and as puppies into adults like to have something in their mouth, and it doesn't matter what it is! They will find something to chew on even if you can't see it or find it... they'll find it, lol. They're also very intelligent and eager breeds to train and love/thrive on mental and physical stimulation. Each dog will differ from one another having more or less of these traits and characteristics, it all depends on where you acquire your dog from and what lines he has in his pedigree that explains that.

Let me also point out that they are very sensitive as well. And no problem, I hope it was useful to you.
