Description
This is the nameless protagonist from my WIP video game, "Fractured Fantasy". As previously stated the character has no name, but it does have many faces.

In the story of "Fractured Fantasy", you are a lost soul trapped in the desolate fragmented world of "Delirium". The first person you meet is a wise old grieving sage who is actually one of the five mad rulers of the realm; the others being Void the Spiteful Cynic, OPN the Mad Artist, Edon the Lustful Mortal, and Malanchton the All-Encompassing Shadow. To escape Delirium, you must traverse the astral dominion of each phantasmal specter: the Meadow of Sorrow, the Frozen Crystal Forest, the Mists of Madness, the Carnal Caverns, & the Valley of Malice, and slay each of their respective rulers in order to use their power to free the Flame of Passion and banish the dark shroud of Malanchton. After slaying each spectral ruler, you then absorb their essence and their power, but you also receive their plagues as well: the Sage's sorrow, the Cynic's bitterness, OPN's insanity, and the mortal's flesh-ridden pains. These gift/curses are reflected in your character's appearance for with each tragic victory your character acquires new physical phenotypes to accentuate their new quintessential diversity.

In the beginning of the game, your character has no face, no eyes, no mouth...not even hair. He (or perhaps better to say "it") is a faceless pale-white unisex mannequin. The above image depicts all the different variations of your character's features, and also the various paths you may take in your quest to complete the game's story. After a bit of guiding advice and helpful tutoring from the Sage, he beckons you to slay him in order to absorb his power. There is no way around it. You must kill the Sage before you can proceed. Upon killing the Sage you absorb his essence, but this racks your character with grave psychological pain causing it to fall to its knees. Eye sockets then appear on its head which instantly overflow with tears. These tears will stay with your character for the remainder of the game to reflect the sorrow that comes with the Sage's great wisdom.

After defeating the Sage you will have the option to choose between three of the remaining four worlds. Your choice will determine the progression of your character's appearance. Upon defeating Void, your character acquires a vicious scowl to convey the cynic's bitter scorn for all life and the emptiness of existence. After vanquishing OPN, your character is branded with an unnerving smile to embody the chaotic insanity which rules the Mad Imp's mind, and once you have slain the Lustful Mortal your character is adorned with the young man's bloodied flesh, skull-shaped head, and hungry eyes burning with carnal need and want. The order in which you choose to confront and slay them determines how your character will look as you traverse each realm, but in the end it will ultimately look the same when you enter the final world to face Malanchton and rescue the Flame of Passion.
