The De-Atomizer Ray is one of many extremely powerful weapons that the 5some's very own birdbrained mad scientist "Ma-Caw" has invented and placed in the hands of his young reckless human buddy, Jamal S. Jackson.
When fired the De-Atomizer emits a devastating energy beam (which takes the form of a blinding double helix of light) that causes the atoms of whatever physical matter it strikes to instantly unravel; reducing the target to a wispy cloud of molecules...in other words, it's a gun that "Thanos-Snaps" anything it hits!
This weapon is a proverbial DEATH RAY with Doomsday-level potential. It is so powerful until Jamal always has to keep it on its absolute lowest setting, because at full power the gun can emit a beam with enough destructive power to unravel the molecules/"Thanos-Snap" AN ENTIRE PLANET!!
