Fan Art for David Dee's crossover fanfiction "Defending" featuring Ranma 1/2's Hikaru Goskungi as a most reluctant and calmly dysfunctional Doctor Strange, Kagome, Inu-Yasha, and Miroku as enthusiastic(read: CLUELESS) sidekicks, Lum Invader reprising her role as a ditzy alien invader, Blue Water's own Nadia il'Karthan as the Submariner, and Ryoga Hibiki cameoing as the Mighty Bwee.You just gotta love what crossovers are capable of, no?

No, I don't hate Marvel...in fact, Stan Lee 's brand was the one I grew up with. I'll admit I haven't bought or seriously read a Marvel(or DC, for that matter) comic in over, oh fifteen years, but hate them? No; I'm pleased to see Stan Lee still up and kicking and seeing more of his comics made into movies.
Whatever gave you the idea that I hate Marvel? Bear in mind this is a illu for a fanfic that read like one of Stan Lee's own parody lines of his own brand lines, what with assigning roles to anime characters and turning the canon originals(in both cases) over on their heads(Dr. Strange/Goskungi us at best a reluctant hero with a hate/loathe attitude towards some of his own magic artifacts, while Nadia, while a pacifist, is arguably the most effective combination of brains and brawn in the whole group. While Ryouga lends a certain poignancy to a lovelorn Hulk.

Anyone who treatment those, who passionately dislike Ranma, as saints, are traitors of Marvel.
At least, Logan is a man of justice, and would never let someone like Ranma become taken for granted, especially not the rest of his life.

Neither Ranma nor Logan factor into the storyline of 'Defending'...aside from possible sidelong reference by eitehr Goskungi(who's KINDA still pining after Akane(Thor)) or Ryouga(and then in regard to the Mighty Bwee's being made fun of by the likes of Captain Japan), so I have to wonder if you're perhaps reading a different fanfiction?

Making Akane Tendo a heroine, is a complete insult to Marvel, since Akane was practically considered an abusive bitch, as well as a non-villainous antagonist.

I've read his works(and seen his collection of fan art), along with many others. I've read a great number of crossovers(or various anime( as well, that have run the spectrum from fluffy light to grimdark, and I've been amused and entertained by many of them.
Somehow I think Marvel and Stan Lee will survive any presumed outrage, though I'm still puzzled what, if anything, this has to do with me?

When I saw this fan-art for the first time, I felt the urge to know more about this "Defending" fanfiction! What a work! 
And now that I've read it, I'm able to appreciate your work way better than before!
Magnificent sketch indeed! Nice idea, the one of making a simple portrait of the main "heroes" of the story!

Lum's absolutely my favourite characters, I love the way the author twisted her character starting from Urusei yatsura's roots and giving her that ditsy, freakin' crazy personality! XDXDXD
I love the way you drawn her in your sketch, the space-looking boots are a nice touch!
Alas, I'm afraid we won't see an eventual 10th chapter, since the last update dates from something like five years ago... it would be nice though.

I thought 'Avenging' updated as recently as a year ago, but Defending kind of lapsed. I'd have to do some digging at Fanfiction.net to confirm that and if he's still around.

That fanfic is pretty much what made me a 'Nadia' fan (and then a Gainax fan). I even made an altverse version of Namor!Nadia for my own 'verse.
