Description Lt. Carol Danvers, Ms. Marvel.

I'm playing her currently in a tabletop game with a few friends. I loves me some Carol, but I seem to have a thing for Superstrength/Flight women (Powergirlwhat?)

I really dig Carol. She's been through so much shit, and she's reacted mostly like a normal human being. I'm waiting to see where all the Skrull BS takes her.

Pose was referenced from a combination of images from the awesome , [link] and [link] . Some incredible stuff he's got in there! Seriously.

Warning! Fullview is teh huge. 1192x1532 pixels, and nearly 400kb I think.

Jeez Tab who uses Champions to play Superhero games. Your GM must be the worst GM of all GMs who have ever GMed.

Sincerely,

Rick

Even though its cel-shading, the image looks so 3-demensional. She really pops out of the page!

Dude, I know exactly what you mean. Other guys are like "Catwoman!" or "Scarlet Witch!", but give me a Power Girl or Ms. Marvel any day. And She-Hulk, depending on who's drawing her...

The detail and lighting in this is beautiful. I especially love how you captured the two fighter jets in the background and the little stichings around the yellow parts of her outfit.

I've seen alot of those hereo table top games, do you have to assemble the character in a certain pose or is it pre made for you? I'm more of a Warhammer 40K player myself, so I haven't gotten into those other games.

The super strong fighter chicks are always the best X3.

Which tabletop super hero game are you and your group using?
Basic Marvel, Advanced Marvel, Card game/rpg version or the newest diceless game version?

Me and my friends prefered the advanced Marvel Universe game to the other incarnations. Although Mutants and Masterminds is pretty good if you use the optional hit point system in the 1st edition

In this campaign we're using the Champions system. I like M&M alright, though.

New or old version?... Doesn't matter. Champions is cool!!! Had some of my strangest but fun characters in that system such Dusk, a blue and grey alien werewolf; Jinx, a sentient black cat with phasing and luck manipulation abilities (now anthro'ed into a catgirl called Pixel); Blizzard Girl aka Rukia Zephyr, an obvious mutant (deergirl) with the abilities of an Ice Elemental; Skulltaker, a plasma throwing mutant Predator (with gear) and my favourite: Vorkosigan, a mutated fox gadgeteer/evil genius supervillian forced to do Community Service with the team of "Heroes" who somehow caught him... still wondering how they managed that though I do get to play with THEIR stuff now in THEIR secret base which I didn't know the location of... wonder if my mutagenic weapons are still online, and wonder how Sovereign City will feel... well the survivors feel after Sudden Farce... Force's singularity reactor "accidentally" detonates. Yes, Vorkosigan is still a villain, just being extremely subtle about it at the moment... Vengeance will be mine Muhahahahahaha!!!!!

tabbykat In reply to el-texugo [2008-05-14 13:21:33 +0000 UTC]

Well damn. I was all proud of it too.

It's bizarre. An overwhelming majority of the pictures I get anatomy crit on are the ones I use reference for. Maybe I just suck at referencing. O-o

el-texugo In reply to tabbykat [2008-05-14 13:33:38 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm... My guess is that the problem you have is on combining the references. For example, here, the body seems to be twisted by it's half. You used at least 2 pics for reference, didn't you?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

tabbykat In reply to el-texugo [2008-05-14 13:42:16 +0000 UTC]

Yes! Two of them. I linked them in the description.
In the future, I'll have to be more careful.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

el-texugo In reply to tabbykat [2008-05-14 14:20:49 +0000 UTC]

That's not it, lol!

The thing is, that you can tell easily, because the body perspective on each half is just not possible, because the body, around the waist, to be articulated like that... She would have been broken in half

Hence the sky dive...

You can use combined references, however, you have to adapt them to the correct angle of the overall image.

Whoa whoa WHOA--what system are you using? Mutants & Masterminds, perhaps?

Also: her expression seems to say 'wait, who turned my Fly off? Craaaaap.'

tabbykat In reply to MonkeyToho [2008-05-14 12:33:45 +0000 UTC]

Champions, actually. Though my last X-men game was done in M&M (damn it was fun!).
