A fantastic work in progress so far, very dramatic! It's really exciting to get to see some digital art from you-- pretty rough, transitioning from pen to computer huh? It looks like you've got a great handle on it so far!  One critique I do have would be to add more form to her wing's wrist area, because even bats have palms and digits  like us. Think of wings as being like hands! Once you understand this structure, its a lot easier to make dramatic wing movements too!

Aaaah so lovely, I'll save more feedback for the finished product, ehehe. This pic looks great so far so I can't wait to see this it finished! <3

Haha yeah I have fallen in love again with digital art.. its just that 'undo' button man! You mess up with markers and thats it. you're done. but digital, undo saves my life Although i still do find it most cathartic linearting by hand, that's my absolute fav.. but I can never transfer it across to a digital file... (do you have any secrets on how to do that with SAI??)

Ahh yes.. the wings.. I totally get what you mean, they look a little like curtains.. not wings :'D I feel there miiiight have been an element of lazy there... I tried a couple of times to add the last digit but i couldn't make it look right and got impatient -badtabby!-. Yeah, thanks for the ref's on that one.. maybe i hsould try a piccie with Tabby in flight to practice these wings?? - On a slightly related not I got to soo a whole load of bats up close at longleat the other week, they literlly fly past your head its sososoooo cute <3 I want one so bad, they're up there with tigers and horses as my favourite animals <3

Hehe yeah I'm slowly plodding through it when I need a break from studying

Thanks sooo much for taking the time for the feedback Ribbs <3

The undo button is what makes it so good, yeah! Layers, too, make it super easy to clean things up once you're finished. But I agree, nothing beats linearting traditionally. Transferring it to digital is easy: you scan the sketch like you would any other, and in SAI you lighten that layer manually (filter>brightness and contrast) or filter it with another layer (layer>new layer, fill it with any color such as white, then adjust the opacity), then do the digital lineart on another layer! This can be done in reverse. It's possible to do the sketch or rough lineart digitally, print it out, ink it traditionally, then scan it back onto your computer. It's a really neat technique, I hope to try it soon!

Oh goodness but you're super welcome, you're doing really good! I would study the skeleton of a bat wing, draw out the bones individually so you understand how the digits work. Then, focus on the wings alone! I've been wanting to do this too, pinpointing my weaknesses one at a time. Human faces... hands... legs... oy!

It's so so fantastic to see your art again, oh gosh I'm excited to see what comes next. Keep up the fantastic work, Tabbs!

Oh thanks for the tip! So can you make the sketch into lineart... so like.. make it do you can draw.. underneath it am i making any sense at all!?

Yeah I really want to get into the practice of sketching different things especially hands.. ohhh i need to work on handsss.. I got a big A3 sketchbook last year for my birthday.. ima turn it into my poses and sketching practice bookie hehe :3
