The idea is that in another dimension, (not AU 1818), Twilight feverishly assembles a body from corpses to be the perfect pony, then approaches Discord for the catalyst magic after having wrestled with the idea for months. Despite how perfect the handiwork, and heroic the cause, surely the Lord of Chaos would object to such a lowly request?
Discord is like 'oh work', gives the thing a GlindaTM smooch on the forehead. It's now alive and full of chaos magic.
It eventually dimension-hops to AU 1818 to be a sort of foil to the other Twilight creation Spricket
