Heyo I finally drew a design I got from taffyadopts

I wanted her to be the sister of a DTA I'm trying for, so I thought a lot more about her backstory.

She's a Sombrashy child, so she's fluffy and spindly

I thought it'd be cool to have a stinger-shaped horn, to call back to the bug theme, as well as the moth booties

I thought about it, and I think she might not have wings until later in her life.

It takes her a while to venture outside of the Crystal Empire, but when she does, she has a lot more exposure to weather-manipulation and pegasus culture (Fluttershy is a fervent ground-dweller, and doesn't talk much about cloudsdale). Monarch begins to feel a kinship with them that she didn't really know she felt before!

Turns out, she can make evil crystal magic smoke wings! And could have, at any time, if she had been free to look inward without judgement.

She's found a lot of friends that love to fly too, and show her all the best spots to perch and birds to talk to

Her family doesn't really understand her new life choices, but they support her
