My contest entry for 's contest! The prompt was to draw a scene from her fanfiction, Scarlet River, so I drew the scene where Ava kills the cat who ruined her entire life.I used a different shading method that took me a long time to complete, but it was something new and I'm proud of how this looks?? Like probably one of the best cats I've drawn ever haha.

what the hellll the shading on this is fantastic and so realistic???? usually when people put realistic shading into cartoonish styles it doesnt turn out super great but you pulled it off so nicely im in lovee
the movement in this is v nice as well!! i like the blood and the pose in general, it brings out a lot of motion and is very pleasing to look at!!

THanks it took me like thirty years and killed a part of my soul but I'm super proud of it??? i mean i'll probably never put this much effort into anythin ever again but for what I had to do it was worth it haha
Thanks!! I was planning on doing some blurring but I forgot, and even then I'd be reluctant to hide some of the details with nasty blur effects anyways. plus when i did it to the backgrund of the way away drawing it hurt my eyes to look at

thats how i feel about shading honestly, i cant find any good methods lol so i just kind of hope it ends up looking alright. i really wish could do a painter-style like this but im too impatient lol

yeah, that blur tool is like a hit-or-miss thing honestly, sometimes its your savior and makes everything great and other times you just want to cry after using it haha
